Venomous Marine Life In Medicine

Nature has been the number one source for studying possible cures to diseases. Ocean life is often overlooked when it comes to potential medicine because it is often more difficult to study. Growing up, the ocean was a mysterious place that has been an inspiration in my art and studies. My thesis paper highlights just a few marine venomous species that are currently being studied and my artwork illustrates these beautiful creatures and the anatomy being used in venom production. It is my intention to expose you, as the viewer, to these beautiful creatures and how potentially harmful substances can become life altering medicine.
